About the event
The Alfred Street Baptist Church is proud to present the 23rd Annual HBCU Festival, taking place Friday and Saturday, November 14–15, 2025, at The St. James, located at 6805 Industrial Road, Springfield, VA 22151. Doors open at 8 a.m. EST both days for what promises to be an inspiring and opportunity-filled weekend.
The festival will feature participation from over 70 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), offering students direct access to admissions representatives, on-site interviews, on-the-spot admissions, and application fee waivers. Attendees can also explore scholarship opportunities, attend informative seminars, and receive resume and essay assistance as well as counseling.
The event aims to empower students and families with essential resources for college readiness and success. In addition to the in-person sessions, there will be a Virtual Festival on Friday from 4–8 p.m., followed by the in-person festival on Saturday from 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
