Career Pivot Brunch: Helping Our Community Navigate Change and Discover New Opportunities
For many individuals and families across the Fredericksburg region, job loss, layoffs, and career uncertanty have become an unexpected reality. Whether you've recently lost your job, are considering a career change, or simply don't know what comes next, you don't have to navigate this journey alone.
Black Fredericksburg Radio, in collaboration with THEMES LLC, is proud to present the Career Pivot Brunch, a FREE community empowerment event on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10 AM to 1 PM.
This event is designed to help individuals regroup, rebuild their confidence, and develop a new path forward.
The job market has changed significantly. The way employers recruit, review résumés, conduct interviews, and evaluate candidates may look very different from the last time you applied for a job. For those who have spent years or even decades in the same position, reentering today's workforce can feel overwhelming.
But a career setback doesn't have to mean the end of your professional journey. It may be the beginning of something new.
Through meaningful conversations with experienced professionals, attendees will gain practical guidance on résumé development, personal branding, financial stability, entrepreneurship, mental wellness, and identifying transferable skills that can open doors to new opportunities.
The event will feature five dynamic panelists: Latissia "Coach T" Cobbs, Dr. Curtis Edmonds Jr., Wonda Grayson, Edward Mosley, and Kirstin Purcell.
The collaboration between Black Fredericksburg Radio and THEMES LLC reflects a shared commitment to uplifting our community and providing a supportive space where people can connect, learn, and discover valuable resources.
Whether you've been laid off from a government position, experienced a reduction in your workforce, or are simply ready to reinvent your future, this event is for you.
A complimentary brunch will be provided, and admission is FREE. Registration is encouraged.
